Tony Robbins on Affirmations

Tony Robbins on Affirmations

Or I should say “Incantations.”

Here is a fantastic three-minute video of Tony Robbins at his seminar talking about how they changed his life. I recommend that you watch this multiple times a day over the next month. There’s a lot of great information here that can help you. Repetition is the mother of skill. Repetition with intensity and a feeling of certainty will change your life.

In case you are curious, here is the text for the two incantations he uses in this video:

“I now command my subconscious mind to direct me to helping as many people as possible today to better their lives by giving me the strength, the emotion, the persuasion, the humor, the brevity, whatever it takes to show these people and get these people to change their lives now.”

“God’s wealth is circulating in my life. His wealth flows to me in avalanches of abundance. All my needs, desires, and goals are met instantaneously by Infinite Intelligence for I am one with God and God is everything.”

I actually came up with the idea of Power Affirmations before I heard Tony talk about this, but the idea is very similar. The idea is to take what most people think of affirmations and add more positive “juice,” energy, and power. And to add deeper thoughts than what you will find in most affirmations.

As you watch this video, I want you to especially notice what Tony says about being in a “peak state”-using your whole body and intensity in your voice when you use affirmations. Using your physiology to amplify the emotion of absolute certainty. He explains and demonstrates that better than anyone I know.

I didn’t go as crazy as he does in this video when I made my recordings. In my recordings, I captured enough energy to get me started. Then when I interact with my recordings on my own, I alternate between listening and relaxing and “going crazy” much like what Tony demonstrates in this video. Personally, I find alternating between states helps me the most.

Whatever problem you are trying to solve, I believe the first place to start is by examining your self-talk and working to improve your thought habits. Once you identify the words you can use to improve your thoughts, then mix those words with intense, positive, powerful physical energy.

What Do You Say When You Talk to Yourself?
How Are You Saying It?

Here’s a question for you: what do you say when you talk to yourself? Is your self-talk primarily positive or negative?

When you talk to yourself, how much emotional, physical energy do you put into your thoughts? Are you strong and confident-in a peak state? Or is your energy low and uncommitted? Do you put more energy into your positive self-talk or your negative self-talk? If you want to improve your results, infuse positive energy in your affirmations/self-talk!

In order to do that successfully, most people need to start with positive statements that they get from others. It also helps to have a positive example of how to use affirmations (like in Tony’s video).

Earl Nightingale defined attitude as “the composite of your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions.” That is a great definition. Think about it. If your thoughts, feelings, and actions are positive, your attitude is positive. If they are negative…

Do you get better results in life if your attitude is positive or negative? If you want to have more positive thought habits, then affirmations are a great place to start.
