The eBook Includes a Special Chapter
on My RAP Planning Process
RAP stands for Results-focused Action Plan. This is a simple but effective daily planning process that I developed for myself to help me achieve my goals. You can use it to get the most out of any planner you currently use such as Franklin-Covey, Daytimers, or Day Runner.
Even better than using one of the popular planners, you can use the special daily planning forms I created for myself using MS Word around the RAP system. They are effective and free. Just see the links below.
There are two basic forms that I use. The first is the basic RAP planning form that allows you to organize your plans around your goals and measure your progress every day. That last part is a critical feature of the system. I've created a separate RAP form for each month for 2008.
The daily form is simple, but the layout is quite ingenious (even if I do say so myself). At the top of the form is a section to list out your most important values. I put mine in order of importance. Instead of only going from 7am to 11pm (or some similar time frame), the time grid allows for a full 24 hours in half-hour increments. It allows ample room to schedule out your entire day on a single page. I don't know about you, but my entire life is important to me. I like to lay out my entire schedule--including the necessary time for sleep so that I get full value from every moment of my life.
I have not set up a separate form for each month for the simple reason that it is not necessary. At the top of each form is a place to enter the date of the schedule.
I've also included a short 6 page description of how I use the forms. You can download that PDF white paper at:
http://www.poweraffirmations.com/rap-form-instructions/
I included this information because I have found that combining a simple daily goals measurement program with Power Affirmations to be an outstanding--even essential combination. If you have problems downloading PDF's, please see http://www.poweraffirmations.com/pdf-problems.htm for some suggested solutions.
Here are the Free Forms in MS Word Format
To download the forms, just right click on the links below and select "Save Target As" and select the directory. There are no macros in the files--they're just plain Microsoft Word doc files.
Be certain to check back around November 2008 for templates for all of 2009.
