Power Affirmations Definite Major Purpose

Here is the statement of Definite Major Purpose that I have created for PowerAffirmations.com. I’ve modeled it after the statement that Napoleon Hill used as an example in “Think and Grow Rich.” I’m including it here for two reasons:

1. To communicate the mission of PowerAffirmations.com: to help you improve your life and achieve your worthy goals using affirmations.

2. To give you an example of a Definite Purpose Statement that you can use as a model for your own statement of Definite Major Purpose.

“By December 31, 2013, I will help 1 million or more people take full possession of their minds through the use of positive affirmations. And having taken possession of their minds, to help them direct their thoughts to the achievement of a worthy Definite Major Purpose of their own choosing.

To achieve this goal, I will dedicate my thoughts and actions toward sharing hundreds of positive affirmations with others. I will make recordings of affirmations that people can download for an affordable fee. I will provide useful service to others by responding to their emails and offering thoughts and ideas that I believe will help them solve their problems, improve their lives, and achieve their goals.

I believe that I will achieve my Definite Major Purpose. My faith is so strong I can see these people before my eyes. They are now visiting my website and they are taking positive action in numbers that are in proportion to the sincere service that I render in return.

I am creating definite plans by which to help more and more people with positive affirmations and I am immediately following those plans as they are received.

I have signed my name to this formula and will repeat it multiple times everyday in order to focus my thoughts and actions on the achievement of my Definite Major Purpose.

Bill Marshall”

By the way, I believe in setting goals that are big, but that are also realistically attainable. The reason I believe that this is attainable is that I am currently averaging about 12,000 visitors every month. I believe that if I help more people, they will tell their friends about my site. So, if I increase my traffic ten-fold, I will reach my goal.

After Creating Your Statement…

After you create your statement, I suggest that you use multiple ways to impress it on your mind everyday. For example, you could make a recording of it and listen to it over-and-over again. You could also post a copies in several conspicuous locations around your home-the bathroom, your computer, etc. You could also write it out on a card and take it with you wherever you go. The reason for reviewing it several times a day is to make certain you stay focused. Don’t be a drifter. Bring your mind and your thoughts back to your purpose regularly.

And be flexible. As you review your Definite Major Purpose, some thoughts and ideas may occur to you to improve it.

One point for clarity: this statement of your purpose is not the same as your plan. You still need to take the extra step of creating definite plans to attain your purpose. Your plan should include goals that are in harmony with your plan.

And once you have defined your Definite Major Purpose and created a Definite plan, you need to take Definite, persistent action-results-focused action-to transform your purpose into a reality.

If You Need Additional Help…

If you need additional help crafting a Definite Major Purpose statement, feel free to email me your first draft to whmarshall@earthlink.net. I’ll be happy to review it for you and email back my comments.

Also, as you move towards your goal, you may find that you need help increasing your confidence, focus, resolve, etc. My I suggest that you consider getting my recorded affirmations and listening to them everyday? I have purposely kept the download fee at $19 so that everyone can afford it. To achieve any goal, you need to improve your thought habits and actions. You grow into your goals.

Here’s a thought: if you already had all of the thought habits you need to achieve your goals, you would have already achieved them.
