Here Are Some Free Goal Setting Forms
To improve my own goals setting and achievement process, I have created some standard forms for myself that are based on the general process I have followed for several years. The process is based on a synthesis of what I have learned from a number of people I have studied including Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Gary Ryan Blair, Napoleon Hill, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, Wallace D. Wattles and others. I thought I would share them with you.
Right click on the links below and save the files to your computer:
1. Goals Excel Workbook
2. Goals MS Word Worksheet
As you can see, these forms use Excel and MS Word. If you don’t have access to these programs, you can open and edit these documents using Google Docs. I decided to use these formats rather than PDFs so that you could enter the information directly on the forms using your computer.
The Excel file has multiple different tabs and includes instructions on my process. Obviously, you can adapt this process to what works best for you. What is most important is that you state your goals in writing and review them often with a high desire to achieve them and the belief that you can achieve them. This is one of the reasons that I include columns where you rate your desire and your belief regarding that goal.
It’s best to focus your attention on goals where your desire and belief are high. In my experience, you will achieve those goals the quickest and with the least amount of resistance.
One challenge that comes up often is where the desire is high but the belief is low. Don’t start with those until you first work on increasing your belief and confidence. You will find your confidence will increase as you achieve other goals. You can also use affirmations and creative visualization to increase belief. You may find that getting and listening to my 488 Power Affirmations recordings will help you increase your belief and your skill.

The 100 Day Challenge
One of the programs that has personally helped me the most is Gary Ryan Blair’s 100 Day Challenge. Each day of the challenge includes a short video with self-improvement information designed to help you make fast progress on your goals. This is a great way to stay focused every day. Most people don’t achieve their New Year’s resolution for one or more of these reasons:
1. They don’t write them down.
2. They don’t create a written plan.
3. They don’t review their goals or plans at least once each week. In my experience, you can only manage what you measure.
4. They don’t have an accountability partner. Most people attempt to achieve their goals on their own. And when things start to get tough, they it’s too easy to give up and let themselves off the hook. But when you have an accountability partner who will both encourage you and remind you to keep making progress, it is much easier to keep going on. In many cases, just the idea that someone is going to review your progress is enough of an incentive to keep you moving forward.
This is why personal coaching programs can be so effective. But they also tend to be very expensive-many times hundreds of dollars per hour.
I don’t have a coaching program, but I have created a free accountability system that I believe will help you-if you are really serious about achieving your goals. If you are interested, then click on the “Free Accountability Program” link in the above menu.
Has This Ever Happened to You?
You start the year (or pick any other starting point you wish) “determined” to achieve your goals. But then you get started and start running into obstacles. Real life starts to set in. You find yourself not spending the necessary time it is going to take to achieve your goals. You are faced with other obligations you just can’t get away from. Or…you find yourself giving into temptation and procrastination. For example, you don’t really need to start changing your eating habits now, right? You can start your exercise program next week. After all, you’ve worked hard all week and your tired.
Or saving money. You don’t have time to review your expenses. You don’t have time to open up that savings account or increase your 401 K, right. And besides, that means you will have less money to enjoy life now. After all, you deserve to go out to a nice restaurant and enjoy a movie, right?
Or you want to start a business, but you have to get “all your ducks in a row” first. But somehow, that never seems to happen.
In short, most people lose their focus and their resolve–often before the end of the first month. And before you know it, another year has gone by with only a few goals (if any) achieved.
Has this ever happened to you? I don’t say this to judge you or anyone else, only to point out what usually happens. It has definitely happened to me and I have learned from my mistakes. That’s why I go through Gary’s 100 Day Challenge about 3 to 4 times per year. As soon as one challenge ends, I review where I’m at and go through it again. And I can tell you that it has made a huge difference in my results.
One of my favorite features is that I can watch the videos on my computer, on my iPhone, or on my iPad. That makes it easy to find time to go through them While I’m on the go. And in some cases, I’ll watch a video multiple times during the day.
I encourage you to consider doing the 100 day challenge yourself. To learn more or sign up now, just click on the link below:
