I Am Excited to Share with You this
Rare Video of Dr. Napoleon Hill
Here is an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Napoleon Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich." He may come across as a bit stiff by today's standards, but his ideas are brilliant.
Welcome to PowerAffirmations.com
I believe you are here because you want affirmations you can use to improve your life and to help attract what you desire. If that's true, you will be pleased with what you find here. I first discovered the power of affirmations from reading "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. But more about that in a minute. Let's talk for a minute about how and why affirmations work.
Program Your Mind for Success with Affirmations
Not just your thinking...your programming. Your unconscious programming. Here is one of the best formulas I've seen for manifesting what you want:
Your unconscious programming creates your thoughts. Your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings create your actions. Your actions create your results.
Put another way...
Programming > Thoughts > Feelings > Actions > Results
If you don't change your unconscious programs, your life will stay pretty much the way it is now. Take an objective look at your life--specifically your results. Are you experiencing similar results over and over and over again? Are you experiencing the same problems over and over again? Are you "spinning your wheels" on the treadmill of life? If so, it's because you have been running the same unconscious programs over and over and over again.
The odds are pretty close to 100% that you are reading this on a computer. What makes computers work? While there are a number of physical components, none of that matters without the program. What is a computer program? It is a sequence of instructions written to perform a specific task.
In order for this page to appear on your computer screen, someone had to write a program to instruct your computer to act that way.
Of course, we are human beings, not machines. That said, in our brains we have accumulated a lifetime of conditioning or unconscious programs that trigger many of our behaviors. For example, what language do you speak? Since you are reading this, most likely you speak English. Were you born speaking your language or did you absorb it from your environment?
What about your beliefs about what is possible? What about your attitudes? Your work habits?
If you are fortunate, then you were born into a situation where your family and friends nurtured you believe in yourself and develop success habits. But maybe that's not the case. If you are still struggling to find success, maybe one of the reasons is that the influences in your environment have not programmed you to be successful. Maybe you had no one to encourage you or set a positive example for you to follow.
That can change for you right now.
One of the reasons there are so many self-help books, audio programs, and seminars is that most of us are searching for answers. We're looking for that magic answer that will allow us to create the success we desire.
I know that was true for me until I discovered how to effectively use positive affirmations to reprogram my thinking for success. Specifically, I created hundreds of affirmations and recordings that I listened to (and continue to listen to) for the purpose of programming my unconscious mind so that I automatically take actions that lead to success.
Repetition is critical. I have personally experimented with many ways of using affirmations to see what works in real life. I tried repeating my affirmations in front of a mirror. I tried using posters. I tried using index cards. I tried writing them down.
These methods only worked to a limited degree because I could only sustain the necessary effort for a few days. I couldn't even consistently follow either of these methods for a full week. How is anyone going to get enough repetition to gain any power with such a weak effort?
Then I decided to record my affirmations. Bingo! Because I can listen to the recorded affirmations while I do other activities, I began using them consistently. And I with recordings, I could take even a single affirmation and listen to it, and meditate on it for as long as I want. There have been times when I've focused on a single affirmation for over an hour.
In short, recordings are the only way I've found to consistently use the power of repetition to burn the idea of the affirmation in to my mind. I reprogrammed my thinking by listening to affirmations day after day--often for hours at a time.
With enough repetition, you eventually begin to catch on. I took persistent action to improve myself because I am committed to my dreams, goals, and desires.
I think it would be selfish of me to suggest a solution to you without giving you the opportunity to get a wide variety of recorded affirmations right now.

I'll tell you more about how I created these affirmations in a minute. I don't know of anyone who has used the technique that I created for myself.
How Do Affirmations Help
You Unlock the Hidden Secrets
of Your Subconscious Mind?
As I mentioned above, the first book I read that taught me the power of affirmations was "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Millions of people have read this book since it was first published in 1937--right towards the end of the Great Depression. In fact, one of the reasons Napoleon Hill wrote "Think and Grow Rich" was to give people inspiration and instructions for getting out of that economic depression.
Central to his teachings in this an other books is the concept of "autosuggestion." Autosuggestion is self-suggestion or self-talk. The idea is to use the repetition of positive statements or affirmations to condition your subconscious mind.
Here is some of what Hill said in Think and Grow Rich--I think these ideas are pure genius. I have added a few notes of my own to highlight some of the more important ideas:
"...any impulse of thought which is repeatedly passed on to the subconscious mind is, finally, accepted and acted upon by the subconscious mind, which proceeds to translate that impulse into its physical equivalent, by the most practical procedure available.
[Re-read the highlighted text above--isn't that an amazing statement? Isn't that the essence of manifesting your desires? Taking intangible thoughts and turning them into physical reality.]
The subconscious mind will transform into its physical equivalent, by the most direct and practical media available, any order which is given to it in a state of belief, or faith that the order will be carried out.
It is a well known fact that one comes, finally, to believe whatever one repeats to one’s self, whether the statement be true or false. If a man repeats a lie over and over, he will eventually accept the lie as truth. Moreover, he will believe it to be the truth. Every man is what he is because of the dominating thoughts which he permits to occupy his mind.
[What are your dominating thoughts? What do you habitually think about? Whatever thoughts you repeat to yourself, consciously or by unconsciously (by unconscious habit) you will come to believe and you will take action on.]
Thoughts which a man deliberately places in his own mind, and encourages with sympathy, and with which he mixes any one or more of the emotions, constitute the motivating forces which direct and control his every movement, act, and deed!
[Using affirmations is one if the easiest ways to deliberately place positive thoughts into your own mind.
You have a choice: you can choose the thoughts you are going to place into your mind or you can let others make that choice for you. Every person's mind is always active. You are always thinking about something. That's human nature. The question is are you going to take conscious control of your own mind? If not, then you will be subject to the influences in your environment--either good or bad.]
Comes, now, a very significant statement of truth: Thoughts which are mixed with any of the feelings of emotions constitute a “magnetic” force which attracts, from the vibrations of the ether, other similar or related thoughts. A thought thus “magnetized” with emotion may be compared to a seed which, when planted in fertile soil, germinates, grows, and multiplies itself over and over again, until that which was originally one small seed becomes countless millions of seeds of the same brand!
[Napoleon Hill was writing about the Law of Attraction decades before Rhonda Byrne created the movie "The Secret."]
The ether is a great cosmic mass of eternal forces of vibration. It is made up of both destructive vibrations and constructive vibrations. It carries, at all times, vibrations of fear, poverty, disease, failure, misery; and vibrations of prosperity, health, success, and happiness, just as surely as it carries the sound of hundreds of orchestrations of music, and hundreds of human voices, all of which maintain their own individuality, and means of identification, through the medium of radio.
From the great storehouse of the ether, the human mind is constantly attracting vibrations which harmonize with that which dominates the human mind.
[Here is the way I understand the Law of Attraction:
First, you think a thought with repetition and intensity. Whether the thought is positive or negative doesn't matter.
Second, your thoughts attract a host of similar thoughts and ideas.
Third, your dominating thoughts become your thought habits.
Fourth, your dominating thought habits determine your actions and the quality of your actions.
Fifth, your actions create your results.
I'm sure that there are other aspects that make the Law of Attraction so powerful, but I think this simple summary will help you understand how to apply it to your life.]
Any thought, idea, plan, or purpose which one holds in one’s mind attracts, from the vibrations of the ether, a host of its relatives, adds these “relatives” to its own force, and grows until it becomes the dominating, motivating master of the individual in whose mind it has been housed.
Now, let us go back to the starting point, and become informed as to how the original seed of an idea, plan, or purpose may be planted in the mind.
The information is easily conveyed: any idea, plan, or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought. This is why you are asked to write out a statement of your major purpose, or Definite Chief Aim, commit it to memory, and repeat it, in audible words, day after day, until these vibrations of sound have reached your subconscious mind."
Napoleon Hill, "Think and Grow Rich"
Again, these ideas are brilliant. They have generated tens of millions of dollars for millions of people. Probably even billions at this point. These ideas have changed lives. These ideas have saved lives.
These ideas have put hundred of thousands of dollars in my personal bank account. I am happier and my life is richer in every way because of them. I created my website because I wanted to find a way to share these ideas with other people all around the world.
Think and Grow Rich was one of the primary inspirations for my original 203 Power Affirmations. I took key ideas from his book and other books and turned those ideas into short affirmations that I could repeat to myself over and over again so that I would really get them.
Then I went to a Hollywood recording studio and made professional recordings of them so I could listen to them over and over again. If you want to condition your mind to be positive, you may want to download these recordings for yourself.
Success is Really a Mind Game
Napoleon Hill said that the "imagination is the workshop of the mind." Mentally construct what you desire in your mind then proceed to take action construct it in the physical world.
- Do you want better health or health challenges?
- Do you want more happiness or less?
- Do you want better relationships or the opposite?
- Do you want more money or less money?
I think we both know the answer to these questions. Do you think the positive side of these things happen automatically or by design? They really only happen automatically, if you are fortunate enough to grow up in an environment where you are taught to think in terms of success. But that's not true for most of us. For most of us, we have re-train our brains through conditioning our thoughts.
What is the Role of Affirmations in Achieving Your Goals?
Affirmations are thoughts clothed in words. What is important is not the words, but the thoughts they communicate to your mind. It's the thoughts behind the words that count. Words help you make your thoughts definite. Repetition of the words (which is essentially what affirmations are) with intensity and energy helps you impress the images onto your subconscious mind.
If you do the right things long enough you will succeed.
If you focus your thoughts on feeling good and increasing that feeling no matter what your current circumstances are, you will attract good things into your life.
Define your dream and create a burning desire for its achievement. With a burning desire, you will take the persistent actions necessary to make your dreams a reality. You will be willing to take any positive action necessary to achieve your goals. Without a burning desire, you will give up.
I created these affirmations and went to a studio to record them because I had (and have) a burning desire to achieve my dreams. I took action because I am willing to take whatever positive action is necessary to achieve my goals.
About My 488 Power Affirmations Recordings
There are two main collections of affirmations: there's my original collection of 203 Power Affirmations and an additional 285 inspired by "The Science of Getting Rich."
My 203 Power Affirmations were inspired by the material of teachers such as Tony Robbins, Napoleon Hill, Zig Ziglar, Dale Carnegie, and others. The material I reviewed includes:
- Think and Grow Rich
- Personal Power
- Unleash the Power Within (Tony Robbins' core seminar)
- Awaken the Giant Within
- Law of Success
- See You at the Top
- Secrets of Closing the Sale (actually a great book on personal relationships)
- How to Win Friends and Influence People
You probably recognize many of these books and audio programs. As I reviewed this material, I took some of the most important ideas and turned them into first person affirmations.
The topics covered include self-confidence, goals, health, relationships, and wealth.
What are you willing to change? What positive actions are you willing to take? If you continue to do what you've always done, you will continue to get what you've always got.

285 Power Affirmations
Inspired by "The Science of Getting Rich"
I've also reviewed "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles in it's entirety and created 285 Power Affirmations. The list of affirmations follows the book chapter-by-chapter, paragraph-by-paragraph, even sentence-by-sentence. I did this to help me master the ideas in the book.
Recordings of My 488 Power Affirmations Are Available
(without Music--that's a Good Thing)
Between these two collections of affirmations, there are 488 in all. That's a lot of affirmations. In order to make it practical and easy to use these affirmations regularly, I went to a recording studio and recorded each of the affirmations. Each affirmation is repeated about 5 to 6 times for vocal variety. That way, I can listen to them on a regular basis while I'm commuting to and from work, working out--even while I'm sleeping.
These recordings are just affirmations, not music. But that's a good thing for you. That means you can easily create your own custom playlists. If created these recordings with music, you wouldn't be able to do that. It also means that you can easily create a mix of your favorite affirmations and mix them with music.
I know that 488 affirmations can be an overwhelming number of affirmations. But my intent isn't that you listen to all of the affirmations all at once. I don't even do that. There are two reasons I created so many affirmations:
1. For variety.
2. To be thorough--to cover a lot of subjects from a lot of different angles.
The Best Way to Use These Recordings
As you can see, there are a lot of recorded affirmations in my program. The way to avoid being overwhelmed is to focus on a few at a time. Or maybe a single theme. Because each of the recordings are on separate MP3s, it's easy to pick the ones you want to listen to. This also makes it possible for you to repeat any single affirmation for as long as you want before moving to the next one.
I've never seen any other program that allows for this. All the other programs put all of the affirmations in a single audio file usually mixed with music. While that's better than nothing, I've found those programs to be very limiting to what I wanted to focus on.
Think of each affirmation as a single song and you get the idea exactly.
I recently received an email from one of my customers who is using my recordings exactly the way I designed them for myself:
Hi Bill,
First, let me say that your affirmation mp3's are the most powerful tool for self-improvement that I have found. Much more powerful than self-improvement books. Much more powerful than the self-hypnosis downloads that I've tried.
I think for me, the power of your affirmations comes from the fact that there are so many affirmations, that I can always find the three or four that are perfect for my improvement program at any given time.
What I do is pick three or four affirmations and play them one after another continuously. If one of the affirmations doesn't hit me strongly I just replace that affirmation with another. I typically change one or two affirmations each day. My goal is to make sure each affirmation has emotional meaning to me. If one loses it's emotional effect I replace it.
Over the years I've spent a good bit of money on books and self-hypnosis media. Nothing I've tried has felt right for my personality before finding your affirmation downloads.
Thanks and best regards,
Marty S.
